• Scissors
• 2 paper plates
• Brown, green and black craft paper
• White paper
• Cotton ball
• Brown, green and black paint / paint pens
• Brown packing paper
• Cotton ball
• 2 buttons
STEP 1: PREPARE
Gather your craft needs and find a clear space to work.
STEP 2: READYING THE BEAR PARTS
Colour the inner circle of 1 paper plate using the brown paint pen. Colour the 2nd paper plate completely, 1/4 brown and 3/4 green using the paint pens.
STEP 3: CUTTING THE BEAR PARTS
Cut around the inner circle of paper plate 1, and cut 3 bear furs on either side of the plate. Cut a triangle out at the middle base of the second plate for the teddy bears overalls.
STEP 4 & 5: PREP THE BODY PARTS
Draw a set of bear ears, arms and legs on the brown craft paper, then cut out.
STEP 6 & 7: PREPARE THE FACE
On the brown packing paper draw a curved edged triangle to cover most of the bears face (paper plate 1). Cut this triangle out.
STEP 8 & 9: CREATE THE EYES
Draw 2 large and 2 small oval eyes on the white paper. Draw 2 medium eyes on the black craft paper.
Cut these 6 eyes out.
STEP 10 & 11: MAKE THE OVERALL STRAPS
Draw a set of rectangular overall straps on the green craft paper. Cut the 2 rectangle straps out.
STEP 12: ATTACH BODY PARTS
Glue the bears arms, legs and overall straps onto paper plate 2.
STEP 13: BUILD THE BEAR FACE
Glue the bears ears, eyes (with the small white eye glued onto the medium black eye, in turn glued onto the large white circle) and the curved shaped triangle onto paper plate 1.
STEP 14: ADD DETAILS
Using the black paint pen, draw the mouth and add details to the bears ears.
STEP 15 & 16: GLUE THE NOSE ON
Using the black paint pen, colour the cotton ball black, then glue the cotton ball onto the middle top of the bears mouth using Bostik Blu Stik
STEP 17: ATTACH THE FACE TO THE BODY
Glue the bears head (paper plate 1) to the body (paper plate 2).
STEP 18: ADD THE BUTTONS
Place a tiny amount of the Bostik Blu Tack to the back of each button and place down on the middle bottom of each overall strap. These can be removed and put back on for story time.
