Tutorial overview
What you will need
Step 1: Clean the broken ceramic vase
Ensure that your cracked vase is clean and free from any dirt, dust or grease and then dry. Carefully remove any crumbling parts from the areas to be bonded to help ensure a neat and seamless repair.
Step 2: Apply Bostik Fix & Glue
Place a drop of our ceramic glue, Fix & Glue, on the broken vase.
Tip
Bostik Fix & Glue is available in two formulas, gel and liquid. For vertical cracks we recommend using Fix & Glue Gel. For horizontal cracks we recommend using Fix & Glue Liquid.
Both types of Bostik Fix & Glue are ultra strong and powerful super glues designed for precise bonding on small surfaces.
Step 3: Assemble the cracked vase
Press the parts of your broken ceramic vase together and hold in position for a few seconds to form the initial bond.
Good to know
Our Fix & Glue super glues bond within 5 seconds, so if you get glue on your fingers, it won’t stick immediately.
Step 4: Let the glue set
We recommend leaving the glue to dry for approximately 24 hours to ensure an ultra strong, long-lasting bond. Once the 24 hours are up, you can fill your ceramic vase with water if required and use as normal.
Step 5: You've fixed your broken ceramic vase!
Ta-da! You’ve now learnt how to fix a ceramic vase using our best glue for ceramic, Bostik Fix & Glue. Welcome to the #REPAIRHERO club.
As well as being fast-setting, ultra strong and providing a long-lasting bond, our Fix & Glue super glues are water-resistant, making them perfect for a ceramic vase repair or similar.
